There are different hardware requirements for the various versions of TriGrid.

Microsoft Windows:

• TriGrid/Win16 requires Windows 3.1 or 3.11
• TriGrid/Win32 requires Windows 95 or Windows NT
• Windows NT on the DEC ALPHA-AXP is NOT supported at this time

A math coprocessor will speed up computation significantly, but is not required. A minimum of 16Mb of memory is recommended, which is enough to handle grids with up to 30000 nodes. Roughly 2500 more nodes can be handled for every further megabyte available. The complete TriGrid/Win package requires about 10 Mb of hard disk space.

X-Window System:

TriGrid/X runs under the OSF/Motif window system, or systems that emulate it, including the following:

• HP-9000
• IBM RS-6000
• DEC ALPHA-AXP under unix
• linux - under fvwm or other window managers
