Sub-menu PROFILE

This option enables plots of vertical profiles of velocity for 3 dimensional models. The sub-menu that appears is:

Sub-option POINT

This enables selection of the node location for the vertical profile. The cursor is used.

Sub-option VECTOR

This option switches the profile to a plot of u (cyan) and v (red) components of velocity. This is the default option.

Sub-option ELLIPSE

This option switches the profile to a series of tidal ellipses oriented along the vertical at each model node.

Sub-option STACK

This option switches the profile to a series of vectors oriented along the vertical axis but viewed from above. A line connects the vector heads.
